Stop Labeling Women !, They Preach Essay - 1879 Words

â€Å"Stop labeling women!† they preach. â€Å"The ugly,† â€Å"the fat,† â€Å"the insecure†- all whom insist that the classification must end; that men should learn to appreciate each individual woman for who she is, rather than what she is. Of these women, many hypocritically address to ‘stop labels,’ yet create a divide by defining themselves as feminists. Nonetheless, activists attempt to break present sexist barriers but ineffectively do so while in while indirectly encouraging against unity. In the past, it has been necessary to demonstrate large movements to defeat oppression. However, with the right to vote, work, marry, cook, and be an individual, the modern females of America do not suffer as women in other eras have and as women in nearby countries do. Although, the battle over inequality is not yet won, current day activists seem to be fixed on the focuses of the past. As sexism thrives, feministic movements inadequately overcome the origin of gender inequality, lack acknowledgment of women suffering in other nations, and encourage separation among sexes. It is said that the root of all evil is money but perhaps it is religion. Or certainly that is the origin of sexism. The three largest religions, Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism, share one common idea; Eve ate the forbidden apple. Therefore, the burden of all sin on earth is directly related to the fault of a woman.
